Border patrol agent charged with smuggling illegal immigrants!

A Mexican National reportedly used a false birth certificate to join the U.S. Border Patrol and then used his position to smuggle immigrants into California. Oscar Antonio Ortiz charged $300 a person to allow groups of illegal immigants to cross the border into San Diego County.
Ortiz used a copy of a Chicago man's birth certificate in order to to get hired by the Border Patrol in 2001



This is very very bad! This man has not only stolen the identity of an american in order to falsify his status, but he was able to get a job working for Home Land Security.
Where is the security background checks? This is just a nail in the coffin proving that Americans are less secure than the US Goverment would lead us to be.
Note, There is reportedly at least one more illegal immigrant that is working for the Border Patrol

Does not surprise me that is happening. It is a known fact that many of the illegals get their IDs from state employees who are from Mexico also which is similar to smuggling them since it helps them get false IDs.
