What was interesting about those exactly? I'm not much of a geologist and I really haven't looked at the Mars rover microscopic images much at all. So I don't really notice anything that stands out.

Hey,
You're suppose to tell me..LOL

Actually, if you look through other Sols of data, you'll see that the others
appear even less interesting..

I see some crystalization, some gas pockets (vesicles), and conglomerations of
many different minerals..But..I'm a geology nut..I like rocks..
Take a look..You might find something..

Wow,

I really thought others would find this interesting...Some geology nuts, etc...
anyone?

Maybe just learn a thing or two?

sad....

No geology nut here, but i had a look. I see quite a few holes in the rocks, worm holes set over thousands of years? Probably a better explanation than that. I believe that it is very possible Mars did once have life on it, do any of these images suggest that to you?

I'm also no geologist, but looks like rocks with some erosion, probably wind and sand or dust erosion.

No geologist here either, but some pretty cool things. If someone had posted this picture and said it was a magnified picture of a backbone fossil dug up on Earth, I would have to say 'oh yeah...I see it' but I know its probably just a natural formation from Mars...still interesting though.

This is maybe what a very creative person might see.

I'll try and get Rock Hunter in here, he's ATS's resident geologist as far as I know.

Now remember people, I never said this is what I thought it was..just what someone MIGHT be able to see if really looking for something. Heck I don't even believe in itelligent life here on Earth.

No one has said anything like that, or are you just covering your butt for later?

Your brain is trained to recognize things, be it faces in a crowd or a face on Mars. That's all.

Just covering my butt for later..things can get a little cruel around here sometime!
I know nobody said anything YET, so its a pre-emptive post.

Thanks!

I am no geologist but I stayed in a Holiday Inn express last night.. and here is the big news..!

I saved a ton by switching my car insurance to Geico..

Cool pictures. Those rovers are amazing. NASA should pay the companies that made those things a HUGE bonus. It does not get any better than that.

Those two rovers have made up for every dime wasted on other space programs that blew up or disapeared in space.

I looked at all three of the referenced galleries.

And I keep wondering:

1) Are we talking about the shadows in these pictures?
2) Or the fact that the pictures are greyscale?

That is the only similarities I see in the three taken together.
