On Monday Pakistani and Indian officials are due to discuss confidence-building measures and the long-running dispute over Kashmir.

This has to be seen as encouraging surely. Despite the ongoing, and from the remainder of that article, quite serious tensions that continue to exist between Pakistan and India, at least they have stepped back a bit from the nuclear option.

Hopefully this will be seen as an important step towards resolving the issues that lie between them.
Good luck to both of them.
