Yeah, how is it different from the avatar pic? I'm assuming that it covers the whole area that currently is colored background??? If so, what image size should it be???

A background image is a cool idea. You've really done a hell of a job on this site William.

How about running a week long "blue light special" on the ATS store items for us poor folks.

I know that custom titles can be purchased, but I still haev some title and member status questions. For instance, some members seem to have their status below their title ie member or fighter, in red. Mine still has the simple joinior member title but no member status in red. Jus trying to figure out how it works. Some people with custom title have the red 'member' and some without custom titles have it too, and some of both categories do not....and ktktr (sp?) says 'fighter'...which is also my stutus becasue i am in the debate forum, but mine does not say it on my posts...
no big deal though, just curious..

Does it stretch the image size to fill the whole background? Or must it be a particular pixel size? Also, can you have a background and then an avatar pic?

My image to the left is about 210 pixels wide by 600 tall... the image will be tiled within the available space, not stretched. On top of the background, I have an avatar.

The image will tile. So you should consider how the top and bottom of your image will marry and whether or not you want a seam to show.

In general, it's best to create a background with no discernable edges.

This was the avatar that I uploaded to the web & linked to my ATS profile when I first decided to join up. I didn't have to "buy" it from a list anywhere...I drew it myself. It's a cropped shot of a character I've played in a role-playing game some years ago.

I might join the secret forum anyway...But before I spend that many points, I'd like to know how to access it once I've bought it. Where in the forum-board pages does it show up?
