Here we have a story of a lady who has been in a coma for apparently more than 20 years, and has now "woke up". What is interesting is that she was
able to see and hear while in the comma.
She even knew about the events of 9/11.
For 20 years, Scantlin, the victim of a hit-and-run accident, was cut off from the world, unable to communicate. But it's now clear that - at least
some of the time - she could see, she could hear, and she could understand what was going on around her

But here she is 20 years later, communicating, and rehabilitating.
This whole story is quite interesting, especially inlight of the Terri Schiavo case where there were arguments of whether she was conscious or not.
