Underground tunnels in Canberra and Melbourne, AU?

high Speed link from Sydney to Canberra circa 1980's - 1 hour or less travel time from RANGHCQ??

Regarding tunnelling under the Dandenong Ranges, I have lived right on top of the ridge, just outside Melbourne, for nearly 40 years, in which time I have experienced regular underground vibration, shaking the house and deep very low booming sounds lasting up to one minute at a time. The last vibrational experience was last night, around midnight. Sometimes the dogs react, often not. So, I was interested reading about alleged tunnelling under here, albeit a few years ago on the forum. Anyone else feel what I am describing?

I think they might be storm drains instead sadly
