Well, colonel, since you seem to be a socialist and don't agree with capitalism (although you're a "lawyer" and should love it), i'll break it down like this for you. The people in the higher income tier are still paying ALOT more money. Are you suggesting that we punish the people who through hard work have acquired a fortune or a large income? You're a typical commiecrat. Everyone has a chance in this country, whatever your sex or race. This society follows the statement "dog eat dog" very closely. I don't understand where you're coming from. You're obviously not poor (either that or you live with your parents still) because your work affords you the oppurtunity to sit on your ass all day, Uberliberal online guns blazing. You're nothing more than a hypocrite. Oh, and by the way, it sounds like you want to be an activist, yet you do absolutely nothing but point fingers just like a bad Xtian. My advice to you, pioneer for the people, is if you want some respect, get off your damn computer and do something about all the # you talk.

this is what i've been talking about myself.

hypocrisy
double standards
do as i say not as i do
say one thing, do another
whine complain and insult and then doesnt really do anything to create a solution

sounds just like..........

A POLITICIAN!!!

he may or may not be telling the truth but i think its awfully convenient. this isnt the first time and wont be the last.

others see the pattern as well.

or he's just thinking of a new angle to use to distract us from what we already know. he's all bark and no bite like an ankle biter dog. HE'S ALL MOUTH!

Just prepare for the fact that you're going to Hell and get used to it.

I've have heard your mother's cooking is pretty bad, but hell? Not that bad right?

You don't understand do you, if you are making $4,600 a year and you aren't getting help from the government, then that's YOUR issue, not the government, assistance is there, you have to get it. If you are too lazy to go up to the federal building, then that's your tough luck.

By the way you racist biggit, I think good old lucifer has a nice sauna waiting for your and Farrakan, enjoy!

I make 100,000 a year, I pay 22% in taxes or $22,000

family b makes 5,000 a year and pays 28% or $1,400

Who is "helping" more?

Is it my fault they are poor? Or is it theirs?

You libs make me
why should I support everyone? Is that fair.

No, its ok. Be the selfish "Christian" republican that you are (if you are Christian). I don't think those poor will be able to help you as you wither and burn either. They'll probably be in Heaven.

Shut the f*ck up. I haven't been to this thread in maybe a week? The only reason why you came to this thread is becasue a group (just like a republican--never have the balls to stand on their own merit) did so now you have guts to be a hero so you put your 2 cents in. To match me in words, you'd lose because we dealt before and I was being nice. And, we all know the outcome because I'm still wondering why you don't say that 'You could be living in New Zealand if you don't like it here" as opposed to Iraq.

I hung out with Kiwis when I was in Asia. New Zealand ain't so bad.

So, you go join the 2 loonies that sweat me almost very day.

So, was I wrong about the racist thing? I have not called white people anything on this board but republicans (or just plain racists) always go back to habit.

I think that the point you're missing here is that a family that makes $100,000/year & pays $22,000 in taxes still has $78,000 left over to play with...The other family would only have $3,600 left to live with. The big question isn't "who's helping more", but "who's getting hurt the worst?"

Just a bit more to add to the earlier post I copied earlier...I forgot to mention;

Say that out of a population of 1 million people who pay taxes, figure that the uppermost income brackets comprise 5% of the overall population (This seems to be the average number of citizens that use the uppermost tax brackets anyway).
That means that the lower 95% are paying a total of $20,900,000,000 of the total taxes that were collected...Whereas the upper 5% only paid a national total of $13,300,000.

So the point *still* is: Not who's helping more, but who's getting hurt the worst?

Who would Jesus tax?

Alabama voters will face that kind of issue on Sept. 9 an explosive proposal to reform America's most regressive tax system, long skewed to protect affluent individuals and the state's "Big Mules" powerful timber and farm interests.

There's no other state where a family of three or four pays tax on income of as little as $4,600 a year. Last year the lowest-earning one-fifth of Alabama taxpayers paid 10.3 percent of their incomes in state and local levies. But the richest 1 percent paid just 3.7 percent.

Enter Alabama's Republican Gov. Bob Riley, a staunchly conservative former congressman of the Newt Gingrich school who hosts Bible classes at the state Capitol in Montgomery. Confronted with a $675 million budget deficit, Riley revolted.

But Riley went a lot further than suggesting tax hikes to cover the deficit....But in the process Riley proposed giving the poor a huge break no income taxes at all below $20,000 in income.

"I've spent a lot of time reading the New Testament," said Riley, "and it has three philosophies: Love God, love each other, and take care of the least among you. It is immoral to charge somebody making $5,000 a year an income tax."

But a number of independent Christian congregations not to mention the Alabama chapter of the American Christian Coalition are against the measure. Anti-tax groups are bitterly opposed. In a topsy-turvy political landscape, the state's REPUBLICAN Party is opposed, while the Democratic Party is in favor.

If Riley loses, on the other hand, we'll have pretty convincing proof that for all the moral high ground Christians claim, in a showdown they open themselves to criticism that they hate taxes more than they love Jesus.

www.commondreams.org...

Its just blasphemous how these filthy degenerate republicans carry on. You just know they're going to Hell. The demons are waiting for them. Can you believe this? These animals want the the majority of the tax burden to fall on the poor and destitute. Ya know, Jesus himself could show up and back this resolution and they would still be against it and tell him to get his "liberal" self outta town

That's how evil they are....

and that's why Hell is waiting for them.

what ever happened to "judge not lest ye be judged?"

your the one going to hell

Colonel, I love your posts! I have been laughing my ass off!

God I dont knwo what this board would do without you.

Your anti republiklansmen rants are enough to almost make me wanna turn democrat. ALMOST.

But I love my guns, free speech, and non socialist system to ever turn that extreme.

I wish there was a place called hell for republicans. It would be poetic. Unfortunately, like the easter bunny, santa, and the toothfairy, Hell is a fairy tale.

Its nice to dream tho...........

what ever happened to "judge not lest ye be judged" god is the ONE AND ONLY athority to judge people. so colonel ill see you in hell buddy! plus its you liberals that are all anti relgious. democracy does not promise equality of conditions, only equality of opperyunity. im tired of seeing the majority have to suffer because of the rantings of a few atheist. if they dont like it, too bad.

GENTLEMEN!!! It is clear the function of this thread is to bash republicans as such those of you who post here do so knowing full well that anything you will not result in the Colonel suddenly changing his mind.

Having read through the whole thread I found some of the comments related more with respect to heritage rather than political opinions (do not feel I have to say more).

The topic is simple Colonel feels all republicans are going to burn in hell last I checked the Republican party was not divided by race
