Without a doubt I would consider "Beyond Longing (is laughter)" by Wendy McNeill the most beautiful song ever......

It is even more beautiful that the absolutely amazing "Fall Girl".... which can be found here...track 6.

Pretty much all of 'In The Aeroplane Over the Sea' by Neutral Milk Hotel. The album is so perfect it's hard to pick just one song from that album as being the most beautiful. It's amazing as a whole. But just to recommend a song, try the title track.

I always turn to Eva Cassidy when life gets to be just a bit much and I need to decompress. Without a doubt the most amazing female voice ever to grace the planet (rest in peace Eva, wherever you may be...)

No matter how bad things may get, any of these 3 songs always manage to remind me that everything will be ok.

What a Wonderful World (live)

Fields of Gold (live)

Over the Rainbow (live)

Edit: How could I have overlooked this one....

Songbird

I have a few that I consider to be truely beautiful songs

Delerium - Silence (Sanctuary mix)

The Beatles - With a little help from my friends

The Bangles - Eternal Flame

Despite them not being my favourite songs (apart from the Delerium one) I still think they're a few of the most beautiful songs created

Most beautiful song ever?

This Velvet Glove by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. If you ever get to hear it live one day count yourself blessed and very lucky.

This is a sticky one to me. I will have to really evaluate what I may consider 'beautiful' and how others would view it. Is it dramatic dynamics? Can it only be based upon a relaxed pace? All kinds of stuff to consider rather than just tossing a ballad or three out there. Will get back to this.

Strangely ,I must agree that is a hauntingly beautiful song, written by a genius who never heard it because he was deaf. Most people consider Einstein the smartest man who has ever lived but I disagree. Beethoven was a genius of incomparable ability.

I would vote for Santana's "Samba Pa Ti" released on their 2nd album "Abraxas" from 1970. It is without a doubt the most beautiful guitar solo I have heard...and yes, santana has been around for quite some time since before "supernatural" heh..I would suggest checking his older music out.
