Is that the piano piece that's humanly impossible to play?

If so...Urk...Yes. Very first time I heard it I got one of those stomach flips you get when you fall for someone for the first time. I've never had that listening to a song before.

Lean On Me by Bill Withers, and Rockapella. I like the ROckapella version better, have a thing for voices.

Sooo beautiful, so inspirational.

Sometimes in our lives, we all have pain, we all have sorrow.
But if we are wise, we know that there's always tomorrow.
Lean on me, when you're not strong and I'll be your friend.
I'll help you carry on, for it won't be long 'til I'm gonna need somebody
to lean on.

It's easy to say a song is beautiful, but why? This song just brings out the emotions though, the feeling that yes, it is good to help others for they may be able to help you tomorrow with your problem.

I Can't Make You Love Me - Bonnie Rait.

Please please, do yourself a favor and listen to this song.

Turn down the lights, turn down the bed
Turn down these voices inside my head
Lay down with me, tell me no lies
Just hold me close, don’t patronize - don’t patronize me

Chorus: cause I can’t make you love me if you don’t
You can’t make your heart feel something it won’t
Here in the dark, in these lonely hours
I will lay down my heart and I’ll feel the power
But you won’t, no you won’t
’cause I can’t make you love me, if you don’t

I’ll close my eyes, then I won’t see
The love you don’t feel when you’re holding me
Morning will come and I’ll do what’s right
Just give me till then to give up this fight
And I will give up this fight
Chorus: cause I can’t make you love me if you don’t
You can’t make your heart feel something it won’t
Here in the dark, in these lonely hours
I will lay down my heart and I’ll feel the power
But you won’t, no you won’t
’cause I can’t make you love me, if you don’t

The Most Beautiful Song Ever...

"Let your soul and spirit fly into the mystic ..."

INTO THE MYSTIC
...by Van Morrison

next is:

It's A Kind Of Magic

This rage that lasts a thousand years
Will soon be done
This flame that burns inside of me
I'm hearing secret harmonies

--Queen

I just love that song too!

Classical: The Firebird- Stravinsky
So powerful and tender at the same time. I recommend watching its sequence on Fantasia 2000

Classic Rock Across the Universe - The Beatles
An intoxicating sweetness and deep sadness (at least as how I perceived it)

Current Pop/Rock Krafty-New Order
A sing That I would like to dedicate some day... I totally identify with it's lyrics.

Some people get up at the break of day
Gotta go to work before it gets too late
Sitting in a car and driving down the road
It ain't the way it has to be

But that's what you do to earn your daily wage
That's the kind of world that we're living in today
Isn't where you wanna be
And isn't what you wanna do

Just give me one more day (one more day)
Give me another night (just another night)
I need a second chance (second chance)
This time I'll get it right (This time I'll get it right)

I'll say it one last time (one last time)
I've got to let you know (I've got to let you know)
I've got to change your mind (I've got to change your mind)
I'll never let you go

You've got to look at life the way it oughta be
Looking at the stars from underneath the tree
There's a world inside and a world out there
With that on tv you just don't care

They've got violence, wars and killing too
All shrunk down in a two-foot tube
But out there the world is a beautiful place
With mountains, lakes and the human race
And this is where I wanna be
And this is what I wanna do

Just give me one more day (one more day)
Give me another night (just another night)
I need a second chance (second chance)
This time I'll get it right (This time I'll get it right)

I'll say it one last time (one last time)
I've got to let you know (I've got to let you know)
I've got to change your mind (change your mind)
I'll never let you go

Just give me one more chance (one more chance)
Give me another night (just another night)
With just one more day (one more day)
Maybe we'll get it right (You know I'll get it right)

I'll say it one last time (one last time)
I've got to let you know (I've got to let you know)
If I could change your mind (change your mind)
I'll never let you go

That's the one, yes. It's a shame that not many people have heard it, it really is amazing

My mom passed away Feb 7th this year, and my dad followed her on the 20th. While working on their video tributes, we used several songs each. The most beatiful for me, and still gives me chills, is Amazing Grace sung accapella.

We ended my mom's video with it and we used In the Sweet By and By also sung accapella to end my dad's video.

Very good choice , so relaxing and very ambient ,

Some of my choices, and im sure ill miss some out but here goes.

From the classical genre.

Adagio for strings - Samuel Barber. I find this song enchanting and touching.
Nimrod - Sir Edward Elgar.
New World Symphony - Dvorak.

And I find alot of dance music beautiful.

Sunrise - Angel city.
Tell it to my heart - Kelly Llorena.
True love never dies - Kelly Llorena.
Dj Sammy - Heaven (candle light mix has the missus in tears

Oh, thinking about all our younger years
There was only you and me
We were young and wild and free
Now nothing can take you away from me
We've been down that road before
But that's over now
You keep me coming back for more

Baby, you're all that I want
When you're lying here in my arms,
I'm finding it hard to believe
We're in heaven
And love is all that I need,
And I found it there in your heart
It isn't too hard to see
We're in heaven

Also For lovers - the wolfman and Pete Doherty.

Man, so many songs over the years...

"Walking in the Air" from the English Christmas story The Snowman. Sung in an amazingly haunting voice by a young man (at the time) whose name was, I think, Aled Jones?

Just a few which I don't think have been mentioned:

"Tiny Dancer"...Daniel"..."Levon" by Sir Elton John

"Heart of the Sunrise"..."We Have Heaven" by Yes

El Dorado Overture" by ELO

Most of Enya's stuff (as someone previously noted)

"Christmas Day" the version with the flute intro, by Mannheim Steamroller.

What, nobody's mentioned anything by the late "Zamphir", Master of the Pan Flute and late night cable advertising?

I found this live version of Toto's I Won't Hold You Back on YouTube. I've always loved the studio version of this song, but this version is unprecedented. The piano lead-in really stirs up emotions in me.

Edit to add: Champaign -- How 'Bout Us

One hit wonder, but damn this song is good for romancin'!

Peace
