Sighting?

When I was looking at the stars on July 27th 2005, at 10:30 PST I saw a shooting star and I thought cool so I started staring at that paticular location. At around 10:40 out of seemingly nowhere a bright white lighted oval object appeared right in the location I was looking at only 30 feet above my head, after 3 seconds of moving in a straight trajectory accross the night sky it disappeared just as fast as it first appeared.

Final notes:

-It was fully illuminated and it had a streak/tail behind it
-It made absolutely no sound at all and it was about the size of a small airplane
-It appeared and disappeared as fast as you could turn a light on or off
-You could see nothing at all before it came or after it left nothing.

So it was the size of a small prop plane , and it was only 30 feet above your head?

About the size of a crop plan but it was oval, im talking about the body not the wings or tail maybe 5-6 feet in length

How far did it travel in the three seconds you could see it ?

What direction was it traveling?

Was it stationary when it became visible , or was moving the entire time?

Yes anywhere from 30-40 feet above my head.

I did not move, it was allways in my line of sight when it was there and it traveled roughly 18 feet.

I dont know which direction it was heading.

No, it was moving the entire time it appeard with its tail as if it was allways moving.

It might have been 1.5 - 2 seconds now that I think about it, I was so excited I did not keep track

What I saw was more of an oval egg shaped.
