Omega Symbol?

I was up at Lake Tahoe this weekend and I noticed from where I was staying that on the north side of the lake you can see a strange looking omega symbol carved into the side of the mountain (from logging I would assume)

Wonder if anyone else has seen this...

got pictures or anything? why there be a carving on a mountain?

I had a digital camera with me- I didn't even think to take a picture..

the omega symbol is descended from the sumerians.
it was a knife they used to cut the umbilical cord. one phase ends, and another begins.

I wonder if there are any native american legends about Lake Tahoe that might tie into the symbol on the side of the mountain.
