300 ft catfish

The so called 300 ft catfish found in lake pleasant was reported by my brother's scuba instructor. now my brother's been down there before, and he claims it was probably a tree that looked like a fish or some thing cause it is pretty dark down there, it's possible he mistook it for a large fish. and it's IMpossible for a CATFISH to be that big. also his instructor tells a lot of stories about diving so i don't think it was him but an imposter or somethin or other. can somone clue me in on this, please?

Blue Whales grow to be about 120 feet. I don't think there is going to be a catfish that is more then twice the size of a blue whale, but you never know.

There can't be a 300 ft. long catfish.....you do realize that is as long as a football field....don't you???

As I mentioned on the other thread, I've seen some cod in Lake Havasu that will knock you back on your heels, but they certainly were NOT 300 ft. long...more like six to eight. But hey, who's to say?

Wowser 300fts long OMG!!!! what kind a fish is that,ermsss in Malaysia if we do caught that kind of big it might be one city will share ready to cook.

It's an urban legend.
All big lakes have the same story.
In Kentucky, there's a place called Lake Cumberland, and they have the same story, which started way back in the 1940's, where supposedly a diver went down after a car crashed into the water.
He came back up terrified saying he'd seen a catfish so big it could swallow a car whole.

Nothing more than an urban legend.

Id love to see a 300 ft catfish in a inland impoundment.



Id use a horse for bait.



That thing in thailand is a 6 foot long catfish, thats our freshwater sturgeon size.

lol... A friend of mine lives in Ohio and one of the lakes there have large Catfish that reach maybe 7 feet or less. The reason for that is polution. I find it funny that you say 300 feet. That is nuts.

Damn, being from the south it gives me a head ache just to think of all the hush puppies we'd have to make to go along with cooking a 300 ft. catfish.

And the cole slaw? Not to mention the corn-on-the-cob.

I admit it would be one tasty dish....but the prep would be a nightmare

What would a 300ft. catfish eat to grow to that size? A 300ft. catfish would be the largest FISH on the planet. Whales are mammels.

No way your gonna find a catfish that big. No way at all..........
