Im not sure if this is the best forum for this story, but I thought it fit since it is a lawsuit originating from the Exodus around 1400 BC...

The U.S. is known for having the most frivolous lawsuits, but that's about to change. A group of Egyptian expatriates living in Switzerland is getting ready to sue "all the Jews of the world" for taking Egyptian treasure with them when they escaped during the Exodus, which religious scholars thnk occurred between 1400 and 1300 BC.
The lawsuit is being organized by law professor Nabil Hilmi, who says, "At that time, they stole from the Pharaonic Egyptians gold, jewelry, cooking utensils, silver ornaments, clothing, and more, leaving Egypt in the middle of the night with all this wealth, which today is priceless.

Well I am pretty sure I read somewhere that Moses' camel had a heart attack from the weight of all that plunder and keeled over right in the middle of the Red Sea while it was split down the middle...

I think that leaves them with a HUGE problem as far as jurisdiction goes huh?

Well the Jews will defend as follows:
1. The statue of limitations has expired.
2. The treasure was compensation for 400 years of indentured service.
3. The pharoah was in gross violations of their civil rights.

IFF (NB two F's)

* the Statute Of Limitations did not exist in Divine Law at the time of the alleged acts (if such law expressly intended immutability)

AND

* the Commandment "Thou Shalt Not Steal" is taken to be a commandment issued for broad application by same Deity responsible for the Judicial branch to the leader of said Exodus

AND

* due notice was given, as purported by various accounts including Isaiah, to the evictees to vacate said lands after completion of certain contracted constructions;

THEN

prima facie there is a case.

The author of this opinion confides that he saw the alternative opinion by learned friend jagdflieger only halfway through the preparation of this advice, and not before pushing the "Reply" button.

Prima facie, there is assuredly a case.

i find any claims based on religious text to be crazy. the bible has been rewritten and censored so many times through out history that its not even funny or accurate anymore. multiple translations havent helped this matter either.

i wonder if the people of china can sue themselves because of the great wall fiasco. will they have to give themselves what they already have? hmmmm does this mean that descendants of certain people will be able to sue descendents of other people? if so how far back will thise be allowed? can descendents of caveman nug sue the descendents of caveman agnog because agnog killed nug with a rock to his skull?

my my my the sue happy disease is spreading through out the world and its getting worse.
