The conservative politician's disappearance at a south coast beach became Australia's whodunnit equivalent to the assassination of U.S. President John F. Kennedy.
Among the most spectacular conspiracy theories advanced over the years was the suggestion Holt, 59, was spying for China and was whisked away by
frogmen to a waiting submarine. Other theories suggested it was a planned suicide or a shark attack.
Apparently they are re-investigating due to a law change. At the time of his disappearance in 1967, an investigation could not be held w/out a body,
but 36 years later they have decided to look into this further.
