The passport picture of alleged bomber Hasib Hussein was recently shown on the BBC, provided to the BBC by Pakistani officials:

The only problem is, the Hasib Hussein pictured here is a 16-year-old boy who is currently in Pakistan, having entered the country on July 15, 2005.

Here is the Scotland Yard handout photo of Hasib Hussein, the bomber:

Hasib Hussein the 16-year-old was recently interviewed on Pakistani TV about the mix-up:

An FIA official told the BBC: “We have nothing to say on the matter at this stage.”

This development casts doubts on whether the bomber ever visited Pakistan, as was claimed by officials.

This also has similarities to the case of misidentified 9/11 hijackers.
