Storm season ahead of schedule
Here's the lastest projection path for Franklin.
Is it just me, or could this thing hit europe?!

Hmm, wow... I don't think so, but I might be wrong. It could lose it's strength if it hits landmass but if it continues on it's current course then, yes, it would probably hit Europe, but I'm just assuming.

Hurricanes can hit Europe, but usually by then they've changed from a tropical storm to an extratropical storm that gets its enegy from temperature differences rather than latent condensation energy from water vapor.
Many times though, the high winds of the jetstream at the higher latitudes rip storms apart before they can reach Europe.
