UFOs from the future

Here the other day a friend and I taked about UFOs.
My friend seems to have this theory that UFOs are us humans from the future, traveling back in time to study us. I know it's crazy, but I find the idea quite interesting. I mean wouldn't you like to see the pyramids getting build? or the roman empire's rise and fall, the viking etc.?
I know this theoty doesn't explain people see the aliens as grey and god knows what... but still... please share your thoughts and comments on this one!

well if they were, they could change a lot of bad things that have happened, but maybe they have?? unless they are evil and their ancestors were responsible for most of it... who knows
