Are conspiracies really conspiracies ?

I feel most conspiracies are the creation of good storytellers, but nothing else. Notice how as each decade goes by the plot becomes more and more complicated? Even UFO Aliens now have the official big eye's and head's that got their start on and episode of Star Trek back in the 60's. Then along came " Close Encounters " and suddenly we are stuck with a form that was created by artists in Hollywood. Big head's, big eye's and freakishly skinny bodies. How come nobody in the Sudan see's these wonder's who tend to only visit nice farm towns in America ? Are Aliens bigots ?
