To make glass from sand, without carrying fuel:
Wireless energy was invented by Nikola Tesla before 1900, and the description is in his 1904 patent.
The trick is the standing wave, which uses a coil of wire 1/4 the wavelength, and DC pulses.
Using wireless power can melt the sand in the chamber to make a bullet.
They could also use a mold that one pours sand into and heats over a fire (or in burning coals buried under sand for more surrounding heat).
For the ice bullet, if you were in an icy area, you could just grab a small chip of ice, and jam it into a single pump air-rifle, and fire it...super
easy. I will try it someday myself when i can buy a nice heirloom quality, single pump, break barrel air rifle for about $200-300. The cost as much
as a .22 caliber, can also use .22 cal or the standard .177, and can have slightly greater velocity than a .22 fire arm. The beeman silver arrow
pellets are AMAZINGLY effective. I exploded an egg with a .177 cal silver arrow pellet once. Other pellets and I think the .22 fire arm rounds wont do
that.
You can also jam rocks in there. See how bbs or bearings are ground by two disks with a spiral groove in each...a soldier can make pebbles into
bullets with one of those in his/her pack.
I prefer the ruby/flashtube laser gun (from: 'Lasers, Masers, and Phasers' instructional book). I would use a battery or wireless for that. For the
battery, I would keep a hand powered generator with it.
If you want me to engineer anything else you can imagine, explain how UFOs fly, how crop circles are made...even a theory that explains God with math
and geometry...I will by request.
