Similar to two weeks ago.

The only worry now seems to be the guy on the loose, said to be a suicide bomber with wires on his back.

This is looking more and more like it's a botched real terrorist attempt or one that was meant more just for effect and causing chaos rather than killing.

It could be some Islamic group that tried a copycat attack but didn't have the al Qaeda ties to get expertise or it could be something completely unrelated.

does anyone know if it is Nail bombs or not?

After what happened in Ireland last week, I'd not put it passed the I.R.A. to make another attack.

The weapon might be I.R.A but the MO is very different, no coded warnings and what looks like very poor execution of the whole endevour.

Yeah, but last week it kicked off rather badly with the Orange Order March.

According to ITN only detonators exploded, with no serious injuries reported

Oh and a smoke bomb (no dangerous chemicals)

Not likely to be the IRA.. the offical IRA are still on ceasefire, the RealIRA are more or less decimated by arrests/IRA assasination and if this was the ContinutityIRA, it would have been far more professional than this... I still think those who suggested a rightist extremists group are more on the ticket...
