POLL: what kind of forum would you like to see be created on ATS???

I am not in on ANY information about the TV show, neither are all of the other councilors. We do not have an inside on anything having to deal with the TV show, but I can see this already happening as a given.

I like the tv forum Idea, also we should have a development forum where we can put the ats-1/bts-1 threads in.

I don't know if this has been suggested before in these 12+ pages; if it has then consider this a "second". But I'd like to see a "test" forum where members can go and put in basically non-sense posts to test out a new type of bbcode, or to experiment with existing code, etc. I know there's the preview feature, but I've noticed some things (emoticons off hand, but I think there were a few other things) that don't show up properly on the preview screen. I'm sure it'd be easy to control how big it could get, maybe automatically clear itself after every couple of hours or something.

Just a thought...

Well for one thing, One that wouldn't be moved to BTS lol Seriously, How about one that would say, " Spiritual Mysteries" forum!

That would be a start and would cover more than what is allowed at present on ATS! I do understand the rules, but since the big changes, maybe it will be taken into consideration!

no offense its just he does fit the criteria for that... My science teacher knows someone like that.

A forum for posts consisting mostly of smilies

A forum where someone can give me more ideas for this post

A forum to give critique on those ideas

A forum for me to complain about running out of ideas

A forum for me to... you get the picture I'm out of silly ideas

Or do you mean for the older members to do the younger members' homework? It happens, and most of the time gets caught before someone gives an answer and the thread is trashed. Having someone else do your homework certainly isn't denying ignorance!

Its already been mentioned, but once again how about a forum thats set up for polls and such. I think that would be a good forum.

i would like that, but i have one problem with it:

it is better to make a poll thread in the forum that the poll is about...

for example, a poll about the war on terror would have a better thread in the war on terror forum and not in this poll forum...

the anniversary of this thread is coming up next month...

hopefully, this thread will gain attention and some of the great forums will be created...

this could be a great place for (obviously) anything blog related (questions / comments / suggestions)...

A professional level Forum. When certain levels are reached through the moderators acknowledgement of a member, in an agreed to amount of time and posts, a Member can rise into a new and advanced thread of special forums of which he/she excelled from below.

I think this place needs a Crime & Punishment forum. (Did I already suggest that on this thread? I don't think so...)

There are TONS of police power abuse stories, court case stories, strange laws stories, current events topics with a crime/legal slant, crime-fighting tech stories, - they don't fit quite right anywhere else. They usually end up kicking around in OCE or Education & Media, but don't really belong in either in most cases.

Give them a home.

I'm not going to stop posting these sorts of stories in any case.

Forum about loosing our privacies more and more, and how we can protect them.

Will this be a prelude to big brother becoming our absolute dictator.

How can we assure ourselves we can stay private?

Discussion required.

Such as;

Loss of financial privacy via bank accounts.

Needing fingerprints on drivers license.

Will we need a national ID to work, bank, or eat. And what privacy will I loose.

Or are too many people apathetic about this topic.

A forum about different cultures where people can be civil and educate one another. This is an area that is woefully needed in light of all the discussions about different cultures here on ATS. In fact, I would love to know more about Chinese and Japanese culture. I would also love to know more about French culture.

Since our members come from many lands, this would be wonderful in order to help us better understand each other and our world.
