Al Qaeda’s Al-Zawahiri Received Terrorist Training in Russia

So the CIA trained Binny, the KGB trained Al-Zawahiri and we wonder why these people have the ability to create terrorist acts all over the world? These terrorists are a monster that we created. Will we ever learn?

Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB), formerly known as the KGB, gave terrorist training to Ayman-al-Zawahiri, the second most wanted member of al-Qaeda after Osama bin Laden, Asian News International reported Sunday.

The article claims that in the spring of the year 1997, on the administrative border of Dagestan, Al-Zawahiri was arrested for illegal cross of the border with fake documents. He was put to jail and for 6th month, and during that time the FSB was trying to identify him, since they failed he was deported out of the country.

From the above mentioned article

The Pakistani newspaper The Dawn quoted a report in the Polish newspaper “Rzeczpospolita” that before deciding to join Osama, Zawahiri received terrorist training in 1998 at an FSB camp in Dagestan.

I would be a bit cautious if not skeptical of the source, quoting a quote of a quote. But this seems to be the periodical's 'style'.

I recognized the portion at the end of the article and could not place it; but found it, it is quoted in the article as if ‘sources’ revealed this ‘information’. It is a cut and paste from Wikipedia.

Read: 3rd paragraph and compare to last paragraph of article (link)
