Most likely because drawing a six is a counter-clockwise direction. It does work though.

What I meant was, that if you try to keep your hand and foot moving in the described position, it doesn't work...which is why I said, it don't work

In fact, I think you are more correct in saying 'It doesn't work' than 'it does work'.

Except, if the trick is that you automatically start your foot going in the same direction as your invisible figure drawing, in which case one could say, 'it does work'.

In truth, probably none of us could have complete empathy with your own experience, as I doubt any of us tried it with a stone warhammer.

It must be one of those the glass is half empty, the glass is half full kinda things. But it's your hand and your foot, not a glass, and you are making a 6 with your hand and going in circles with your foot, and there isn't any water involved.......I guess they have nothing to do with eachother after all...

..... unless you are doing something like juggling water jugs or doing ventriloquist tricks while drinking water out of a glass in your left hand while making a counterclockwise invisible 6 with your right hand and making clockwise circles with your right foot. They would be related then.

I wonder if the most talented rock or jazz drummers, who can keep a completely different rhythm going in each limb, could achieve the original trick.

Doesn't work by drawing number one. !

It does not work if you draw the six in the opposite direction shown on the web page. If you draw the six in the same direction as the foot rotation, then it does not work.

ok- let me just say we are all dorks for actually trying this, it's kinda like that "Lick Your Elbow" thing, it's impossible to lick your own elbow, just try it you'll see. Anyway, it will work if you draw an invisible "2", but a loopy "2".

That is how the Illuminati will take over the world one day.
