Ok the rocket was invented in the like 1600's or something.

Every major war after 1800 seen extensive use of rockets and artillery.

You would think that when powerful enough computers came about in the 1970's that missile and artillery defense would of been the first thing we would of developed.

Radar was invented in the 1940's.

I think with those technologoes it was feasibile for armies to develop missile and artillery defense almost 30 years ago.

Now we have Operation Iraqi Freedom where troops are still being attacked successfully with rockets, missiles, artillery and mortars.

What is the deal. Do you think the technology is just coming about? Or do you think it has been developed already?

If so what ethics are we exhibiting by possibly keeping it a secret and costing soldiers lives who could benefit from the technology on the front lines...

I personally dont know what to think.

The US FCS(future combat system) will have some kind of rocket defense. something that will destory rpgs before they hit. they are annoying
