Rapid Detoxification

I saw a news story about a Dr. doing this back east that had gotten into trouble because six of his twenty-eight hundred patients have died during or shortly after the procedure. I was wondering if anyone had any information or experience with this type of thing that they would like to share, especially information regarding pediatric uses of these procedures.
