Pipe bomb found on ferry

This may be a small device but it just makes me wonder. This could have caused enough publicity to create more fear not needed at this time. Just glad they caught him.

VANCOUVER -- A Washington man who travelled to Victoria on the Coho ferry was charged yesterday after border officials said they found a pipe bomb in the glove compartment of his car.

Could this be someone trying to stir the pot so to say? Or is there a bigger conspiracy here? Or is he just an idiot?

I heard about this on tv, but they didnt give any more detail than the article you posted.


What exactlly do you plan on doing with a bomb in a foreign country though ?

Yeah, I can MAYBE understand a pistol in the glovebox for protection but really, there is no "good" use for a pipebomb.

Maybe he'll claim to be a fisherman and was just going to stun the fish and scoop them out with a net...

There were also two or more pipe bombs found in a long standing wrecked ship off of some beaches in NY State. A diver found the first one, reported it, then police or whatever went to the wreck, closed the beach, and found some more. I beleive that the beach is reopened.
