A universal identity card scheme, under which everyone over 16 would be issued with a personal number and registered on a national "citizen database", was proposed by the Government yesterday.

Nice and slowly weíre adopting the fascist regime.

What's the matter with them anyway?...Isn't being required to register for a Social Security card at birth good enough for them anymore?

It is becoming more and more apparent that personnel freedoms mean nothing today. Why does the government need to know if your married,or where you are going at all times? It won't be much longer until this happens in the U.S. And they will tell us it in our best interest.

And to top it off, they make you pay for it!!
