Exactly, Saddam's forces were a disgrace, they were not trained and coalition forces had every advantage. Regardless of what the Lions of Babylon
would have done, it would have resulted in defeat.
However, hitting fuel/supplies would very quickly hinder any attack by M1A1's, Saddam just lacked the strike capabilities. Very similar to what
happened on the eastern front in WWII, the Soviets never needed to destroy Panthers & Tigers on the ground, they needed do destroy the supply trucks,
and they did it with great success. An army moves on its stomach, and you can only advance as fast as your fuel trucks.
