Yes, while the good Colonel's politics are horribly eskew, the Colonel's quick wit more than makes up for it.

Think about it guys and girls. If our country was "liberated" by a foreign force would many here not be doing the same?

Americans with viewpoints just like everyone else.

Of course, many of the arch conservative do think that anything to the left of Attila the Hun is liberal. They believe basically the ole "strongest survive" viewpoint. That was tried back in Deutchland in the 30's and 40's. Need I say more.

I have worked my A$$ off for what I have and that's why I am a fiscal conservative. I usually discover the fiscal libs either inherited their money, stole their money or they have no money...

That is what chaps my booty about the wealth "redistribution" policies of the left. MOST of the loons in support of these policies inherited the rewards earned by their Grandfathers HARD WORK.

Still others of them have simply figured out how to milk the system while on the government teat and sell favors for "campaign contributions" (that goes BOTH WAYS Repub. and Dem.) they sock away in personal bank accounts.

Then they take OUR money and give to other people for the PURE function of building a voter/power base. Buying votes through welfare.

The insidious part of that is they keep the voters dependent upon them for their very sustanence! It's SICK!

The Soviets took it to its omega and we all know how that ended up. That's what confounds me about folk of the Colonel's ilk.

It has FAILED miserably and took MILLIONS of human lives with it before and yet they sing its praises....

i have stated before that I am a fiscal conservative and a social moderate to the extent I don't think the govt. has any biz in anybody's life choices. I guess I would label myself a centrist who is affiliated with NO PARTY at all.

I just got through reading a news article on the 10,000+ deaths in France. In this article the head-cheese-whiz over in France was committing to revamping the healthcare system, blah, blah, blah. But in his speech he also railed against the people of France because thousands of the elderly died in their homes alone and their was no signs that the French people were caring for each other. (The thousand points of light concept that everybody likes to laugh about but can keep these numbers of deaths from happening.) A citizen was interviewed and this French woman stated (I'm paraphrasing as close to her words as I can) "the French people have come to expect that the government will TAKE CARE OF EVERYTHING FOR THEM, this is what happens when people turn over their welfare to a govenment."

I think the horrendous death toll in socialist France is something we really need to consider when discussing the fiscal liberalization of America.

I'm making great money right now, and I am saving it, and it's my damn right to leave my (future) children rich and independent, I have no qualms with any body else doing it either.

I am a conservative with some dissentions as well, the quasi religious abortion thing has to go, the power hungry mid level politicians have to go, but the foundation is STRONG, we are the ruling party in the states now until somebody dethrones us, and it's not going to be easy, I warn you.

This liberal thinks all three are good. However, the present administration and his party are now straying from the last two.

The budget is in tatters, and the Conservatives keep wanting amendments to the Constitution instead of personal responsibility. They want government control in the moral end.

The Cons do the same thing with the breaks given large corporations. The dollar value of these breaks far exceeds that of trying to keep food in a small child's mouth.
