Kinda, Sorta, Not Really.
Heat in the atmosphere is heat in the atmosphere. It radiates away from Earth regardless of what kind of weather systems it is producing. Something
like 10% of the storms energy gets converted into work energy, so you get a slight reduction, but not an appreciable one on the global scale. You've
also got to take into account the fact that water vapor is a greenhouse gas, so while a hurricane is releasing heat as work, it is also trapping
additional solar radiation in the earths atmosphere.
The reality of global warming is pretty grim. I had a great time debating this with thelibra, and actually we are in agreement on the issue, although
obviously we didn't say so during the debate.

We've got some interesting graphs in there showing what's happening to CO2 and temperature levels. What is basically says is that humans are cooking
the holy crap out of our planet, and the only way hurricanes are gonna save us is if they kill us all.
