That has nothing to do with Google. It's because people click on the fake-404 link so much that it has rised to the top of the "WMD" search in google, so it'll be the first link on the page and "i'm feeling lucky" just opens up the first link on the page.

I stand by what I said, someone at google thought it would be funny to put a face somewhere and did it.. nothing more nothing less. It seems way to perfect to be a natural thing.

Edit: I thought maybe someone would wish to listen to a RealPlayer show on this. Go to the Audiolink and scroll down to about halfway, and find the Noted show on the Face. It was interesting. It's about 50 Minutes long.

That's fantastic - but if they had put a face there before then it's gone now. If you zoom all the way in now you get something completely different.....

Is that site a spoof of the real Google? It looks like a valid Google domain, so in which case they do like to have a joke...

Did you actually zoom in more when checking it out? The "man" is clouds or their shadows (its greenish because the whole image is green tinted, unlike the closer footage).

It could be clouds creating the face. They appear real faint in the sky, if they're really there. It looks like the anomaly is due to water drainage. If you zoom in too close you see a dividing line where a newer or older photo is seen on the right side. The shadow is almost completely gone on the right side. What I like is that the face is nicely defined as you zoom out.
