Satelite photo fake or real of man's face?

<<  1    2    3  >>

While searching for the Nazca Lines in southern Peru I found a blurred face of a man. Is this real or fake? Go to: www.maps.google.com and drag the cursor over south western Peru. Zoom in in Satelite mode and find a patch of green out of place, against a light colored background. Zoom in on the patch. Once there drag the cursor a little east and you'll see the shadowed face with the same light background color. Has the satelite photo been doctored?

maps.google.com...

In any case I looked all over and still could not find the Nazca Lines.

That does look like a face, but I think its just a coincidence of the clouds being where they are.

You're right. It's got the eyes, nose, and even a mouth.

I don't know what to think. Maybe it's a sign?

Doesnt seem like a sign or anything to me.. like Charlie Murpy said its
probably just how the clouds were at the time that made it look like a face nothing special.

But it's wierd to say the least, so I would think it was a bit special. You don't see cloud shadows making faces in the ground every day.

Does anyone here know what the face is made by? Is it really just clouds? It would be very unlikely but of course possible! Any way of finding an image of the same place but at a different time?

Not bad, but hardly spooky. If you stare at the clouds long enough you'll see all sorts of shapes, but doesn't mean anything.

You should send it in to Fortean Times magazine who print this sort of thing:

www.forteantimes.com...

They do a "Simulacra Corner" every month in the mag (check out the seed capsules of snapdragons - now that's spooky).

For any of you who don't know Fortean Times is an absolutely fantastic publication, and one of the few that can be enjoyed by both "skeptics" and "believers". Or if you are a true Fortean you are neither skeptic or believer, but both at once!

I think it looks more real with the image a little zoomed out compared to the one displayed in the thread. The face reminds me of an old Indian man.
