LONDON - The bomber responsible for last week's explosion on a London bus was believed to be among the 13 people killed on board, broadcast reports said, citing police sources.

Sky News and the British Broadcasting Corp. quoted sources as saying the identification of the bomber in Thursday's attack led to the raids on several addresses in Leeds on Tuesday.

it looks like the bus was maybe late which led to dis bombers death wen he or she suppose to get to the subway train to bomb, but this shows a big mistake in timing. it looks like this mistake led to his or her house which would start leading to other suspects.

Yeah, just heard

Eyewitness statements have always claimed a suicide bomber on the bus, but i think police want to make sure.

As they (and I) said on day one; probably one lone bomber - something stopped the 4th bomb going onto the Picc line (north) and he got on the bus having put the timer back 1 hour. Accidental suicide bombing or detonation realising the game was up? We may never know.

His bus was meant to go to King Cross, but took a different route due to the other bombs. My theory was that he was meant to carry out a suicide bombing when the people coming running out the King Cross station due to the other bombs.

He probably blow himself up on the bus probably cause he would of got caught if he didnt blow himself up.

Suicide bomber or not ...He won't be able to kill any more innocent victims.

According to Newsnight (Mark Mardell always knows what's going on!!) on 7/7 that bus had come from King Cross and had picked up many people evacuated from the Tube including the bomber - reports of him 'fiddling in his bag' before the bang - trying to re-set or set it off? We may never know.

Lack of fragmentation points to spontaneous suicide bombing - bomb was clearly blast only so bus / anti-personnel detonation was not the plan when it was made

One possible that has been suggested to me by one of my guys here, is that the problem with the timer could have been caused by the terrorist coming from Europe.

If he or she had overlooked changing their watch to BST (British Summer Time) then this may have lead to the 1 hour discrepancy.

An interesting possibility, as I now hear that the bombings / bombers may have been linked to terrorist cells operating in Spain.

That would explain how they managed to get unattended bags on the Tube - we're very conscious of the risk and unattended bags are usually noticed and the cause of alerts.

I hope they rot in hell! Isn't it about time some muslim Imam 'ex-communicated' their souls or something, to prove these sort of actions are against Isalm?

Good point - explains the 3 Tube bombs going off an hour after the rush-hour peak. 7.50 AM and the toll would have been much, much higher

The extremists blow up our civilians and the moderates remain silent. Their silence is as loud as a cry of support. All we hear is "we're not all like that", not "the terrorists are wrong". There is no condemnation for the terrorists coming from the moderate Islamic leadership, only demands that we not assume they're terrorists due to their religion.

Well in some ways this is good news, if they all blew themselves up then that may be it. Unless they are part of a much bigger cell then for that particular group we can put to rest any fear of new attacks. Still maybe other cells but as we dont know about them or they have never attacked, then for practical purposes I think we can all relax a little now.

All four suspected bombers died during the London terror attacks, according to police sources.

Sky News crime correspondent Martin Brunt said three bombers died in separate Tube attacks and one was killed in the No 30 bus blast.

It was still not clear if the man on the bus had been a suicide bomber.

It follows witness reports of a man on the bus in an agitated state constantly looking into his bag before the blast in Tavistock Square.

Brunt said police had made a number of arrests in Leeds today in relation to last Thursday's bombings.

They were also poised to make arrests in London, he said.

agitated state eh? u know the suicide attacks is pretty out of whack since they could just have buttons pressing to detonate instead of waiting for the bombs to go off within a minute. he was agitated cause he was in a hurry to get to his target which was the subway, not the bus. unless this is a new method where the suiciders are to carry the bombs and travel to their targets and wait, instead of detonating by manual because wires be popping out out of the backpacks and leading to yer hand would be suspicious. also if they leave the backpacks and it sits there sombody would interfere by giving the backpacks to lost and found, as long as the owner is with the bag, nobody would be interested in the backpacks and the timer keeps goin without interference until it reaches the time to detonate, but these are just theories.

picard_is_actually_a_grey,

I was just about to post something along those lines.
It seems that it is just a bit too convienent that "all four" were just suicide bombers and that they are all dead so cannot be questioned.
There had to have been somekind of support base for these "people".

Any bets, that in the next few weeks, the goverment / police will announce that these guys were working alone and were "trained" by Al Queda" etc... you know the same story that is accepted about 9/11 ?

Check your geography - the bus went from KC after the evacuation - lack of fragments indicate this was NOT a planned anti-personnel suicide attack. He may have been trying to get to another tube station but would, surely, have known they'd be closed due to the earlier explosions

news.bbc.co.uk...

I know it's in some interests to link the London Bombings and Palestinian resistance to Israeli aggression but this is the UK not Israel.

We know the difference don't let 'them' fool you
