I agree with nikelbee so far his and few others make sense.

We did an extensive thread on Chavez and his road to power here in ATS and to tell you the truth . . . the only reason he became the thorn on the US side is because he took the power of the US oil companies on his country and returned to the nation.

That in the American corrupt corporate power is a nono and an insult to the US.

Yes people need to get off the propaganda and read and research on how Chavez is what it is today and why he shows not respect for the US.

If you were the elected leader of your country no one time but two and another country planned a coup to overthrow your government how do you feel.

Will you still have respect for that country that onces use to call your country a friend as long as your country will give their resources to your country?

Our nation has lost its ability to make friends with other nations. Because private agendas are priority.

This thread is from long ago but I know that they are having elections and Chaves has changed the consistuation to suit him self as in being able to be elected as many times as he wants which won't help the Americans since here is so anti.
