BERLIN (Reuters) - Germany says its efforts to free 14 European tourists held hostage in the Sahara
desert by Algerian militants for more than five months are now in the final stage.
"We are in the final phase of efforts to resolve the hostage drama," government spokesman Bela Anda
said on Monday. He said he could provide no further details about the whereabouts of the hostages.
