Senior police sources have stated that there is a high risk of a future attack on British soil. The terrorists who were behind the recent London bombings are believed to be still at large and could strike at any time. As the current massive manhunt for the bombers continues officials have warned that the bombers may target Britain again, after gaining confidence from the fact their original attack worked.
A senior al-Qaida member has already been named as a suspect in the hunt for those behind the London terrorist attack.

A police source has been reported as saying: "Our main fear is that this group is out there still sitting on a cache of high explosives knowing that their bomb designs worked.
"We know from the two most recent atrocities in Europe that those groups always intended to make two attacks. Instead of going for perfect synchronicity in one spectacular, they have tried to hit the same target twice."

One senior anti-terrorist official added: "The worrying thing is they live to fight another day."

It is evident that this is not going to be the last attack Britain faces. Hopefully with improved security measures the risk can be brought to a minimum. We have also learnt that the CCTV cameras fitted on the number 30 bus which was attacked were not switched on or faulty, which may prove to be a huge set back for the investigation of the attack.

Terrorism can never be stopped, but hopefully with new security measures, and improvement on the old, the risk can be brought to a minimum.

From what ive heard from sources inside the police, they believe its a domestic cell that has the ability to start a campiagn of death, which is worrying

This is really bad news. Lets hope that the success of these attack makes those cells lower their guards so they can be captured before they do anything else.

Just remember, we dealt with the IRA for decades plus we had our cities bombed by the Nazi's...these Islamic terrorists are nothing

The terrorists have lost the momentum already. Had they planted more bombs later in the day on thursday or on friday, then people would really have started to panic. Now everyones calmed down, had time to gather their thoughts and reflected on whats happened. Now even if they do let off another bomb, it will not have the desired affect, although bad obviously, it will not have the 'out of the blue, shock' effect on the common psyche. They have already lost it.

Dude, get of your high horse. We've had terrorism for over 3 DECADES killing thousands. Don't think you've had it all just because of 9/11. You guys are so arrogant, even when it comes to things like this, it's still "USA! USA! NO 1! No 1 ! Whoooo Yeaah!"

We still didn't bomb the Irish or invade Eire, did we? Even though the IRA sheltered there. Or what about the USA's indirect support for the Republican movement?

One thing, rule of law. It is a criminal act and will be treated as such. No military adventures or phoney wars. Let the police/Intelligence services catch them and we will punish them in accordance with the Law.

EDIT: Apologies for any sensible Americans out there who think about what they say before shoving their foot in their mouths, but that comment above REALLY pissed me off.

Tony Blair has said he is not introducing authotarian powers to protect us. We've lived for terrorism alot longer then the states, we dont need to go starting wars to beat this, this is a domestic cell, which we can stop

You don't need to apologize to me! Your points are well taken. Sometimes we can be so egocentric.

*sigh*

For those Americans who think we've had it rough and now it's Britain's turn....please read some history. Short of us killing a huge portion of ourselves in the Civil War we've had a minor couple of blips via Pearl Harbor and 9/11. In that same time frame Britain endured years of Hitler's bombs, and decades of terrorism from the IRA.

They skool us - not vice versa.

That's possibly the most ignorant and ridiculous thing I've ever read on these boards
Did you even go to school.....at all?

Welcome to America's life????? You have one terrorist attack on 9/11 and you think that even comes close to what the people in the UK, and particularly London, have been through over the past few decades? 9/11 was nothing compared to the blitz - nothing. And we've had many IRA bombings in the recent times as well. If the terrorist think that what happened on 7/7 will change the UK in the slightest then they're as ignorant as you are.

It's people like you that are responsible for the very bad image people around the world have of America - especially in the UK. Go read a book or take some classes - please!

Or are you content to sit there, listen to sad music and grieve? Its time to stand and deliver. Start killin their women and children 10 times more than they did yours. Thats what you do. People need to wake up

Well lets see, whens the last time your country lost 3000 people in a single day....Hmmmm....wheres your book on that? Alls I am trying to say, is there is an enemy out there. And for all of you thumb twiddlers content to sit there, and DO NOTHING, you deserve it. Maybe now, the rest of the world or at least on your island, will understand our stance of hunting these bastards down wherever they MAY be. If your to weak or ignorant to see the difference, then you deserve what you get. This is wartime, not hand holding time...

Ill still wait for you to tell me when GB lost 3000 in a day. 30? hmmmm....kinda small compared to 3000, wouldnt ya say? Or would you rather wait untill they slam a plane into BigBen? WIll the point sink in then? Your all a target. You need to wake up to that fact real soon...

If you read history you would realize that it was Great Britain who originally split up the Middle East to prevent things like this happening, culminating with an occupation of Iraq from 1917 to 1953 when they finally cut their losses and left. They've already been down the road we're on, that's why the populace of the UK isn't overly eager to have more of their sons and daughters spill their blood on Iraqi soil. They tried it once, didn't work.

Turn off Fox News, pick up a history book and Deny Ignorance.

No, were 1000 times more intelligent than and we can see that picking up a mini flag, beating our chests and jumping the nearest foreign looking guy with a beard isnt the right thing to do.

People like you are the reason why the US is laughed at all around the world.

HIstory book???? Please.....GB also didnt have stealth bombers or any of the other weapons that we now have. Besides, Brittan was spread way to thin.

You people know what needs to be done. Its just that everyone is afraid to say it, or do it. Like it or not, this is a war with Muslims. And yes...they are the enemy. Has GB heard an apology or even sympathy from any muslims yet? I know that here, we are still waiting. They care nothing for you or your families, show them the same.

It is time for racial profiling and zero tolerance. And as redneck as this sounds, its time for a good old fashion ass kicking. These people know what wussies our governments have become, and they exploit that. If we all shoved our collective shoes up their asses, this would all be settled.

Enough of treating everyone with our little white gloves on. This is war. They are the enemy, and SOMEONE needs to show them that. If your to afraid to, then get back on the trains and wait for the next one....Because, there will be a next one.
