Of course there are, but it is incorrect to assume that the people capable of commiting such acts could never be fellow countrymen.
I think you helped confirm his point, maybe that's what you meant to do. But what he was getting at is the difference between us and them and that
you wouldn't want them as a neighbor.

I'll be in Iraq in a few days, so you can all call that a conspiracy and tell me how I am part of the "Great Satan" who is "murdering babies" in

If you were to watch it you would see that it is very professionally done with interviews from the likes of Irving Cristol. It is most informative,
and more importantly, it would seem, credible.
They can do it as professionally as they want, that doesn't mean it's correct or credible.
Al Q exsisted long before January '01. That's fact.
Blaming the Bush administration for creating Al Q to further their goals. Pure fiction.
01 you say mhm...which year did bush get into office btw??

Well, he told you a story that even he and a few of his friends, under correct circumstances, would be capable of such atrocities. Then you went on to
state that we shouldn't shun away people capable of such atrocities. So, in other words, he agreed he is friends with people who are capable of
terrorist actions and you stated that you don't mind people who are capable of these actions being your friend. Then I stated, true that, but you and
I wouldn't want the ones commiting the atrocities to be our friends.

I obviously havn't watched the video yet, but reading the BBC article it just says what I already did. If nothing else Al Qaeda (I know I've spelt
it many different ways btw) is at least a powerful symbol.
Regardless of this there are still fanatics out there carrying out these atrocities and they must be defeated, or at least we must not give into
them.
Even if the media/goverenment have elaborated on this, maybe they are just giving us a face and name for us to fight against to keep morale up If they
portrayed the enemy as faceless then they would seem even more indimidating and they would have even more power over us which is what they want. By
creating a name and face for them this will help us from a psycological point of view in a difficult war.
Maybe the conspiracy goes no further than that.
Maybe the real hideous truth is that there is no real grand scale organisation and destroying and killing 1,2,3 or more people is not going to make
the problem go away. Maybe there are pockets of people out there who allegedly follow some form of faith or belief and are intent on destroying our
way of life. Todays events, if not all suicide bombs, could have been carried out with as little as 3/4 people, maybe even less depending on the
methods used. The WTC took hundreds/thousands of people and years to complete, yet only took about a dozen people and a couple hours to destroy.
That's scary...
Claming teh governement is the cowards way out, and I don;t blame you because to be able to blame an institution, or face or organisation is easy and
gives you a target to fight against.
However the truth is far, far more scary and far more simple than that I fear.

Thanks Netchicken....
now lets all pay respect to the victims and observe a moment of meditation/prayer and sheepleness..
that kind of defeats the purpose, if this was done by someone who will get away with it, by hiding behind misguided patriotism...
comeon... that is the purpose of this site...
to explore other possibilities when the actions occur...
and ask the questions that need to be asked while they are relevant...
we all are eager to see who did this, but lets not assume and blame a unknown organization (who until now, has been quiet) and let the true villian
get away...
And once again...
seriously... pray for the victims, and pray that they weren't pawns...

can't you just be a little serious since so many people died?
I am sorry, but that is just plain rude...
and assuming ANYTHING this early is just plain ignorant...
Lots of people hate America and the UK...
If you have knowledge that says who commited it, then you need to make a call to Interpol...

I take it very seriously, you'll see that from my other posts. I was simply trying to point out how absurd a lot of these claims are and you'll see
I've already voiced that I think a ridiculous discussion like this is not appropiate at this time.
Please try to look at this in context.
The LOL was trying to imply sarcasm as opposed to a genuine idea, I probably didn't put it across very well in afterthought.. Sorry.

Oh I've had enough of this, why can't you all at least wait for them to finish counting the bodies. We could have lost at least several of our
members today and god knows how many people have lost or waiting to hear from family.
It's just as sick as the freak that txted one of the guys at work with some sort of sick joke about the whole thing.. Give it a break for gods sake
and at least wait for some more info. Try and have some decency.
This thread should have stayed in the trash where it belongs from the start.

I've been trying to wake people up to the cold hard facts instead of allowing them to go around with these crazy ideas in their head's when we need
to stand together and with our governments against this enemy.
Having us bickering amonst ourselves and putting forward the laughable ideas that our own government are behind it, on the day of the attack none the
less, are more than the terrosits could ever hope for. Your just playing their game.

I used to be like you, but from the other side. Then I came to the conclusion that people's views are very hard to change, once they are embedded,
even with what you may call evidence/facts etc..
There will always be bickering, because, in case no one has noticed, there are two well established camps - Official conspiracy theorists and
unofficial conspiracv theorists.
The funny thing is, it wouldn't suprise me at all if the truth lay in neither camp.
