Yeah but I never believed a word of that - only the driver & bomber on bus, bomber transports live, fused bomb!!, bomb explodes, driver walks away.
Wasn't it the time of the PIRA/SAS/INLA 'feud'? Always seemed a 'fortunate' story to me.

I just watched Tony Blair address the nation from Scotland. He was visibly shaken. He intends to return to London within the next few hours and then
return to the G8 later this evening/tomorrow.

I hope that they are scouring the airports also...a hit there would be doubly tragic .
dh, subz: I don't agree that this is a ploy to rush through the ID cards. I have more faith in humanity than that.

i just watched that also but also noticed how little he looked into the camera as he normally does - seemed to be looking eyes down mostly with
occasional glances to the sides
what i will be interested in seeing is what happens with the investigations into camera footage... ALL tube stations and buses and roads in london
have so many cameras fitted that whoever did this will have been filmed - no question about that. so, if it turns out that lots of cameras werent
working today....
btw, does anyone know what was due to be discussed at G8 today?

I'm in Poole (roughly 100 miles from london) and the train station and bridge going over the station has been closed. no reason given but probably
precautionary along the same lines as the closures in brigton and swindon.

Altogether, there have been 6 explosions, the BBC are saying that 5 underground explosions and 1 Bus explosion, 2 people have already been confirmed
as fatalitys, top analysists say that the are "Almost Sure" that Al-Quaeda is behind the bombings, but they are not ruling out Anarchists and other
groups.
Paris has raised security and heathrow will be closed. Tony Blair is going to London today to hold meetings and will return to the G8 summit later.
London has Been brought to a standstill, authoritys believe that this was not intended to be a high fatality attack, just that they wanted London to
be brought to a halt and for the world to take note.
