Huge ground markings around Area 51

i dont believe that they are targets but rather mapping devices for aircraft. With high altitude craft being tested , it would be hard to land with conventional devices. Even harder with space craft!

the US govt. is really good about things they mind the public seeing via google maps so the markings cannot really be of any importance other than what already has been said, bombing targets

You would think so, but the fact is that Google had some really detailed maps of Area 51 in the beginning, after a while they were censored and only lower resolution images from Area 51 was availible. My point is that they do screw up.

That's what I thought too!!!!
I remember seeing detailed maps of Area 51 in google, now all they have is the bad quality bright map.
