A very good book about Tecumseh was written by Allan Eckert, it's called A Sorrow in Our Heart. He has done quite a bit of research on the life of
Tecumseh, and life in the Ohio river valley during the late 1700's and early 1800's. I would highly recommend reading this book. In it, he talks
about several prophecies that were made by Tecumseh, including the New Madrid earthquake.
Yes it is,I have read it several times.

G.W.Bush is said to be under some sort of spell from Tecumseh (The 20-year curse). Just a crazy idea: What if Bush gets caught up in a new massive New
Madrid earthquake event somehow and passes away? Then Tecumseh would get two flies in one stroke. Tecumseh would forever and "without a doubt" be
linked to both quakes and the curse.

I have been hearing about recent activity in the New Madrid Fault Zone, and that another BIG ONE could be heading that way.
But no one is saying anything. And no one is warning the people in that Region.
WHY???
They have been doing work on bridges and overpasses in St. Louis trying to reinforce them for when the New Madrid fault decides to shake things up
again..
They don't need to say anything to me...seeing them do this tells me they know more than they let on.

Weird coincidence, I grew up in Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.
I was not aware of the Tecumseh prophasies (really!) but ever since I was a child (9 years old approx. when I first heard of it) the mention of the
New Madrid Seismic Zone has always given me the heebee geegees*. It was this area that sparked my interest in geology and plate tectonics, and after
all this time my apprehension has never diminished.
*heebee geegees = Tingling Spidey Senses, bad gut feeling,etc...
Needless to say, I won't be moving there anytime soon.

Fascinating stuff. In fact, it's most timely that you posted this thread. I have just started doing research -- in earnest -- about Tecumseh. In
the last year, I purchased a cottage at Kettle Point, Ontario. The land is on a reservation and I lease the land from the band. My own cottage is on
land owned by Charlie Shawkence. Charlie Shawkencee is a direct descendant of Tecumseh "Long Knife" himself. Tecumseh is Charlie Shawkences'
great, great grandfather!
I see Charlie periodically and Charlie's brother lives less than two hundred yards away from me. So, if possible (and I don't see why it wouldn't
be), I hope to talk them about Tecumseh, the Ipperwash Incident, Native land claims and a variety of other native-related topics. Hopefully, I will
be able to contribute more information to this interesting thread shortly.

I actually lived near Battle Ground and Prophet's Rock(near Lafayette, IN)
I did not know that Tecumseh also was a "prophet". His brohter was called "The Prophet".
More reading on their history

And the bad thing is bush never got assinated. It would be 20 years right? And it's already nearing 2008 folks. I'm still skeptical about tecumseh
but i'll read up on him more.

There's a claim that Reagan broke Tecumseh's spell by surviving the assassination attempt. He also had some indian blood in his veins, I've heard
(not sure). Maybe that's why he survived?
