Question about nebula.

why is it that so many pictures taken of these nebula often contain what looks like figures of people and things that i can recognise as part of a person.

here are some examples i have found from a quick look arround.

i was thinking it is probably just a result of number of pictures taken and the brains natural responce to try and pick out face like features.

i am just posting to get myself aquainted with these forums as i just joined and to see if anyone has any other ideas why this may be.

Ummm. I couldn't recognize anything that looked like a person or part of a person in any of those pictures...

The brain is naturally trained to recognize shapes, so I don't doubt that you se something. A lot of nebulae and galaxies have names cooresponding with thier shapes, though some are quite more obvious than others.
