I See It All (a poem)

I see it all around me
In friends, and strangers too
They think we're running out of time
And there's nothing they can do

Some, they just get angry
Others, they get so sad
Its thinking that we're all alone
That makes it seem so bad

I wish we all could realize
Together we're a force
And its thinking that we're all alone
That has things getting worse

Together we could change the world
And stop this rising tide
Of fear, and indecision
That we cover up with pride

We could live the lives we choose
If only we would try
To look each other in the eye
And stop this bitter lie

From telling us that trust is wrong
That it only makes you weak
Its only trust that makes you strong
And lets your true heart speak

That was truly great. 'Tis too bad that this one peom could, at best, make only a small positive dent in this negative world. However, if everyone did something positive like this, they say every positive act cancels out one negative.
