GERMAN teenager who confessed to creating the internet Sasser worm that infected millions of computers around the globe last year, including on Australia's rail network, goes on trial today charged with sabotage.

The Sasser worm struck on May 1 and hit thousands of companies and as many as 18 million computers worldwide in less than a week, forcing some businesses to shut temporarily in order to debug their systems
