I have been given the honor of being chosen as the FSME for the medical Conspiracy Forum here on ATS. I would like to thank the administration and the members of ATS for thier support and well wishes in this new endeavor.

Many of you already know me, but given the staggering growth of ATS over the last year, many do not. I am a registered nurse by profession. My 12 year practice has almost exclusively been in the pediatric realm. Actually the ICU since almost the first day. Currently I am a pediatric critical care transport specialist. We are one of the few nurse led team on the West Coast (We do not take a doctor) and we function in the field at an advanced level. Be it plane, copter, ambulance, or boat, we will pick up a sick child anywhere. I also teach a variety of pediatric topics at both local nursing schools and for the internal education department at our hospital. Research is another area of interest for me and I have been part of several and ongoing studies. As with most nurses, we have alot of experience in many areas and may only master a few of them.

In the title of this post I said "Primum Non Nocere" which is Latin for "Do No Harm" and that is what I intend to do for this forum. It is my intention to help threads where I can, keep members current on trends and changes, highlight ongoing medical conspiracies and the like. I am fortunate that I have a host of excellent FSME's that I can emulate: infinite, SimonGray, Valhall, intelgurl, cmdrkeenkid, and others to make this task easier.

We live in an exciting time. Medical technology advances with each passing day. Stems cells, biotechnology, and others all hold promises beyond even our imagination, but also contain the seeds of conspiracy and corruption. I look foreword to exploring them all in great detail with you.

If you ever have any questions please u2u me.

Fred

I'd like to know your thoughts on H5N1 avian influenza (probable upcoming pandemic). Specifically, if you have any inside medical information on the latest recombination that has occured in western China?

Actually this was one topic I intended to do a papaer on as soon as I can finish up by biological weapons primer that I am doing for this forum. One good place to start is here

www.cdc.gov...

Its the CDC's page. In regards to China, its hard to get uch information out. The doctor who blew the whistle on the SARS outbreak was jailed and has only recently been released. SO you can understands peoples reluctance to talk. I will see if any of our ID guys have any information, but I doubt its anything that you can't get in open source at any rate.

Fred, Thanks for the link which I already follow along with the WHO, CIDRAP and others including ProMed

but what I was asking was if you, professionally have any inside information on the virus and it's spread. Because of the nature of asian goverments, your right, information is hard to come by and I'm very much into following this developing story.

Glad to see you work in the pediatric realm. I myself am studying medicine and will soon work in the pediatric department.
