Yeslam Bin Ladin, a half-brother to Osama Bin Ladin, said he would pay for Osama's defense should he ever be captured. Yeslam believes that everyone has the right to defend themselves when being accused of doing something. He believes his half-brother, Osama, is still alive and hiding in the mountains.

One of Osama bin Laden’s half brothers said he would pay for the terror mastermind’s defense should he ever be captured, Yeslam Binladin said in a broadcast interview.

“For sure,” Yeslam Binladin responded when asked if he would help pay. “Everyone has the right to defend himself, anyone who is accused of doing something.”

Yeslam and Osama are among 54 sons and daughters of the late Saudi construction magnate Mohammed bin Laden, who had 22 wives. Yeslam said he believed his half brother, thought to be hiding in the rugged mountains along the Afghan-Pakistan border, was still alive.

I agree that everyone deserves to have a defense, even when it comes to heartless killers like Osama Bin Ladin and his terrorist group. Even though we, and everyone else knows he's 110% guilty. I think that Yeslam Bin Ladin may know more than what he is saying however, such as where he is hiding out. However, he is supposedly strongly opposed to all types of violence, so that does say a few things about his personality.

Ok, one question. What is there to defend? We already have five billion confession tapes from him. He has already acknowledged his hate and disdain. What is there left for that nutgobbler to defend?

I would be very surprised if bin Laden is taken alive. I see an end for Osama more akin to that of Uday and Qusay, than that of Saddam.

Rotten.com has a nice "lay-out" on the topic.

The following is not sufficent to lay a charge of guilt upon him. 5 billion should be scewered to a dozen, and of those, a few are dubious as been discussed on these boards numerous times; and, his opinion in regards to the U.S. does not make him a criminal, the law does not charge people for thought crime.

The trial of such a man would surely be costly and timely; it could very well last for a decade.

Luxifero.

Um... People have went to the chair for admitting less than this boogieman has admitted to. He has admitted to planning and empowering those that commited 9-11. What more needs to be proven? According to his own confession, he is responsible for the deaths of 3000 people on 9-11.

I'll admit, I believe he's guilty, however admission doesn't prove he's guilty. I can go around yelling "I'm GWB" but that doesn't mean I actually am...

Is he guilty of flying the planes into the WTC or planting the explosives? Personally I think neither, but I wouldn't generalise too much because many people think the towers were brought down by the US goverment or Isreal who planted explosives inside. Osama is just history's biggest fall-guy.

Point of fact. Charles Manson never killed anyone. But he was involved in the murders. Heck, I've even seen a long list of people that opposed Clinton at some time or another, that all had really, really weird "accidental deaths" or "suicides". You don't have to be the one that pulled the trigger....

I really can't believe that Osama Bin Laden is still an issue what is the man's motive what did he profit? a man trained in the covert ops wouldn't anticipate "the resolve of the American people" or it's military; to me the 911 thing was just a bit to tidy for me all the while his relatives are running around this country with protection; not to mention the escort out of the country at that present time just doesn't fit
