James the Lesser, are you talking about how the church does not believe in contraceptives? Since when does that include vaccine or antibiotics? I have never heard of the church burning food either. I agree catholics gave some strange views on women, but that doesnt include all christians. I dont think i will ever understand this witch hunt on chrustianity.

Again, Nukunuku and Xphiles, your both making a assumption that the channel will be a Gay PORN channel.

Which it isn't.

But what IS ok is pumping our kids full of collecto-bots and whatever, the news and Army recruiting adverts. noooo thats all ok, but these gays daring to have their own channel is seemingly out of this world [ /

Get real! Its a good healthy media outlet for a interest group.. nothing else

One note that was missed on the article, LOGO is actually replacing 2 other FAILED gay oriented stations. HERE! and Q were both premium stations that have gone under.

"Q" hasn't gone under yet; heck it is just getting started. But unlike LOGO, "Q" is a premium (pay) channel. Frank Olsen, president of "Q", has made it so, just to avoid the Christian response.

(BTW, I invested alot of money in Q. )

i would like to have gay warnings on all t.v and movies presentations.a gy waring would help to program our t.v not to watch this stuff and children would have some form of protection.so entertainment industry you think you can do this for us who vomit from this...?

Woot! Let's have a "black content" warning as well. Lots of people still don't like Black Folk, might warn us against Jews on the screen as well. Yawn...

Also they do warn against it, the "Sexual Content" can mean either, just so you know.

Can it be that simple? Hell, no drama in that. No ones religious beliefs come into play.

BTW, I believe you hit the nail on the head here.

Ahh, no there's a gay T.V. Station! Ahh, no it is evil - so evil we must watch it!

Yes watch it because it is evil! So we can say it corrupted us.

Just like heavy metal makes children do things. Yawn, yawn, yawn, enough of the crap already. Don't like it don't watch as I said before. That way, it doesn't hurt you!

I wanted to see what kooks this post might bring out...so I had to check...

not as many backwards thinking homophobes as I thought...
for the ones who don't care or support this...

for those that are not supportive.
why do you bother adding negative commentary ... this channel isn't for you now is it?

IMO, that if they can have a frikin shuffleboard channel, and a channel on (insert inane waste of time here) then why not a gay channel...
Why bother having warnings about it...the word will get out...
Do we have warnings for levitical christians whenever a woman is being respected on a TV show? (OH Yeah... forgot...they don't watch TV anyway)

Right..it's just one more crappy channel for me to not watch.

All the fuss is just a sign that some people aren't happy to live in a land of tolerance and freedom. They'd rather live in a theocratic dictatorship..run by their guys of course..if it was run by some other religion it would be a tool of the devil.

I've met a lot of Christians who were good people, who kept to themselves and lived a quiet life. I've only met a handful of the authoritarian inquisitorial Christians..so why is it that they get all the airtime?

Seems that way anyway..maybe it has something to do with divide and conquer...dunno, just sayin'...

.
If you are going to have a Gay content warning and a Black content warning, make sure to include Religious content warning.

Interestingly enough Gays won't try to make you Gay, Blacks won't try to make you Black, But zealous Religious people WILL try to turn you to their religion.

Just like you have to note when a half-hour infomercial is promoting a product you should definitely do the same for programs promoting a religion.

Sales is sales and the FTC should act accordingly.
