Wow I really enjoyed that one. To me it conveys a lot about personal responsibility. Good job mon ami.

I am merely mortal man
My soul doth seem to cry
And the curse of being merely mortal
Is that mortal man must die.

Fain would I defeat that death
Hurl insults at my fate
And live at least ten thousand years
Before knocking on heaven's gate.

Though God's will perchance is not my own
My innermost being doth know
That when my life comes to an end
I am free. I have my soul.

And should my life be filled with pain
'Ere death agonies come at last,
The blessing of being merely mortal
Is in the end, this too shall pass.

Written in my dark teenage days.
Keep smiling!

I know I am like a ghost from the past to you all. My life took a turn and i had to focus on other things for awhile. For those that know me, just know I am ok and I will be active again. For those who don't, relax I don't bite.

Well hard anyways.

Well here is the first one. My style has changed a bit, maybe for just this poem. But I'll let you be the judge.

All the things that you hear
Yet still you are near
Beside me

All the things I've done
Yet you have won
To be beside me

All the pain you have felt
But yet you have dealt
With you still beside me

Just to let you know
My love for you still grows

Everything that they have said
But still you stayed
With me

Dark Eyes Blind

Not necessarily
Darkest shapes pull you in
Until there's nothing
But darkness

Eyes sore
Eyes so sorry
Nothing can be seen
Eyes alone with your thoughts
And there's nothing
But darkness

Blind man's bluff
There is no darkness
Blind is just nothing for you
Blind is just nothing
But darkness
