live 8 and et's

this is just a thought i was thinking somthing such as live 8 on this scale to change political ideas would it be somthing that they would be monitoring?

(im reffering to g8 not live 8 that they would be monitoring)

if they were watching live 8 maybe they would drop off elvis for a one off performance

Sorry, it won't change a whole lot. All the money going over there only fills the Dick-tators pockets, and funds their endless series of wars. The people still die.

The only way to fix the problem, is to allow the UN to administer it, and dole the money out to those that truly need it. The US might need to correct the mindset of a few republics first, and remove a few inconsiderate bone heads, but that's what they do best. Kick @ss!

Oh yeah... the UN is great at that! (sarcasm). Just look at the great job they did in Iraq with their Oil for Food! Maybe they can send over some UN Peacekeepers too, and they can rape the women like they do everywhere else they're sent!

i personally belive there will become a bigger rich-poor divide but we fail to be seeing the real problem the world as a whole has to be economically sound.
Just look at china I mean economy works in cycles poor work harder with what they've got till they an offer the world somthing that another country cant and the other country becomes poor.

Chill out. That whole post was meant to be a snipe at the leaders of the so-called free world. If it's free, how come things cost so much?????

Seriously though, throwing money and concerts at this issue is not only wrong (the dollars never make it where they are needed most and they are just stolen from those of us stupid enough to send them) it diverts attention from the real issues. Political expediency comes to mind. Promise them everything, give them little. Keep them happy, and safe in the knowledge you are doing something good. The ancient Romans had their version.................BREAD AND CIRCUSES.
