I have been looking further at the image, specifically the elbow that might have been protruding in front of the hostages head. Looking closer and tyding things up I think it is just coincidence.

In this image you can clearly see the folds on the hostages blindfold by the hostages left ear, which if viewed straight on would poke outwards. Noting where those folds are it gives the opportunity to see the elbow/upperarm portion of the figure in the background. So what of the bottom part of the bent arm, the forarm section? Attempting to clean the image resulted with this:
in which I think shows the truth of the image. It is just purely co-incidental placement of the two.

I think the original halo was just a product of the way the image was manipulated combined with the age and quality of the picture itself.

Here is a much newer and previously colour image I played with.


As you can see the same halo effect can be seen as was visible in the original, aslo the halo was not only visible around the suspected manipulated area;


Leading me to the conclusion that the image has not been doctored.

Ok, here's the problem I see. It looks like a fake, and I wouldn't put it past CIA Psyops to do such a thing; after all they did it with Oswald, and I believe that they did it with the Nick Berg beheading.

But if there are guys working for the CIA to make pictures like these, then you'd think they'd do a much better job. After all, these guys would be getting paid a LOT of money for their talents, and they know that the photo is going to be shown to the world and put to close scrutiny.

In literally under 5 minutes, I removed the halo and made it look more natural, and I am a Photoshop retard. Gimme 10 minutes and I could do even better. If the Psyop guys are this careless, maybe I should apply for a job! Take a trip to worth1000.com and you'll see the work of Photoshop hobbyists that could put GWB's head on this guy and make it look realistic.
