Help Me....!!.....Panasonic DV - MotionDV

I have recently purchased a Panasonic NVGS250 DV Camcorder.

A lovely bit of kit, but unfortunately, due to a damaged software disk, which MotionDV was on, I have been unable to transfer my recordings from the tape to my hard drive.

I've been told to return the whole unit to the retailer, so they can swap it with mine. This seems a little ludicrous to me, but seems to be the path I have to go down. Unfortunately, Panasonic won't have MotionDV in stock for another 5 weeks, which is not a lot of help to me.

So the question I ask is:

Do any of you lovely people have a copy you could supply me with?

or

Do any of you guys know of a bit of software I can use to get the DV recordings off the tape and onto my hard drive?

Do you have any idea about other programs that can be used to instead of MotionDV?
